The Position:

FGS Global (FGS) is seeking an Associate Director, Media Planning and Buying. The position can be based in New York and is hybrid with an expectation of at least 3 days in the office per week.

Responsibilities:

As a media planner and buyer at FGS Global, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic media plans that align with our clients' objectives. Your role will involve researching, planning, and executing paid promotion campaigns. You will work closely with other digital team members to ensure seamless execution and deliver measurable results.

Media Planning:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify target audiences and media trends.

  • Create platform and vendor estimates for media plans – across search, social, programmatic and traditional media.

  • Develop comprehensive media plans that align with client goals and budget guidelines.

  • Analyze data and insights to optimize media plans for maximum effectiveness.

Media Buying:

  • Negotiate and place paid media across various channels, including search, social, programmatic and traditional platforms.

  • Build paid media campaigns in self-serve platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, YouTube and Reddit.

  • Build and maintain relationships with paid media vendors including programmatic and direct publisher vendors.

  • Monitor and adjust media buys in real-time to optimize performance for campaign goals.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and new media opportunities.

Campaign Management:

  • Actively monitor and optimize paid media campaigns in self-serve platforms like Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, YouTube and Reddit.

  • Maintain relationship with paid media vendors such as programmatic and direct buy publishers.

  • Keep campaigns updated/optimized based on creative and audience targeting changes.

  • Provide regular updates to clients on the progress of campaigns and suggest adjustments as needed.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to paid media campaigns.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage media budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.

  • Track expenses, negotiate cost-efficient deals, and reconcile invoices with media vendors.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of integrated media planning and buying experience with recent proven experience in planning and activation required.

  • Expert in executing paid advertising campaigns within Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Reddit and programmatic buying.

  • Google Ads, Google Analytics, LinkedIn and Meta ads certified preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field.

  • In depth knowledge of the online media industry including ad technology solutions; advertising/publisher ecosystems.

  • Experience collaborating with media owners, agency business units and creative agency partners.

  • Strong comfort with data, analytics and measurement.

  • Ability to leverage media analytics to inform decision making, extracting insight/actions from data and relate the “story” back to client’s business goals.

  • In depth knowledge of the online media industry including ad technology solutions; advertising/publisher ecosystems, data privacy.

  • Accountable to daily activation team operations and campaign execution with excellence.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

This position requires the availability to work outside of normal office hours, including nights and weekends, when business needs arise.

New York City Salary Range

$75,000—$125,000 USD
