Our Sustainable Business practice helps clients win the support they need to transform their organisations and markets to accelerate the shift to a more sustainable economy. We work with leading international businesses and start-ups, UN Special Envoys, coalitions and campaign groups. To help them make a difference, our global team brings together experts in sustainability, capital markets, public policy, employee engagement, stakeholder research and data analysis.
We are now looking for an Associate Director with demonstrated ESG and sustainability expertise to join the Sustainable Business team to support our growth in London.
Typical duties will involve:
Leading the analysis of client’s sustainability, targets, performance and positioning.
Developing ESG and sustainability-related communication programs and campaigns for clients.
Working across the full suite of communications including research, narrative and messaging, creative ideation, digital and reporting.
Develop core communications materials including press release, key messaging document and Q&A.
Tracking the evolution of the regulatory, policy and news agenda, and awareness of key influencers and organizations in the space to advise clients.
Collaborating with the team to interpret research and contribute towards recommendations and strategy for clients.
Contribute significantly to the preparation of research reports, presentations, and other deliverables, ensuring they are clear, concise, and engaging for diverse audiences.
Project managing large-scale sustainability and ESG mandates, including cross-border coordination and regular reporting to the client.
Contribute to practice growth supporting with new business and proposal development, upskilling and managing junior team members as required.
Extending the firm’s network of media, NGO and corporate contacts.

4 years+ experience in communications, with track record of working in ESG and climate change.
Entrepreneurial mindset for a fast-growing team

Organised, efficient, takes ownership, trusted to deliver to deadline.
Proficient in MS Office suite – specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Track record of designing and implementing communications programmes for clients.
Demonstrated knowledge of ESG and Sustainability developments, including policy and media landscape.
Established network amongst sustainability reporters and/or sustainability networks and NGOs.
Technical knowledge of net zero strategies, transition planning and sustainability reporting encouraged.
Excellent project management and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
