Andrew Vlasaty is a Director in the Government Relations Division at FGS Global and is based in Washington D.C. Andrew is a seasoned political and legislative strategist with over fifteen years of government relations experience and has worked in various roles at federal agencies, the legislative branch, and the private sector.

Prior to joining the firm, Andrew served as Policy Advisor in the U.S. Senate where he worked for Senator Roy Blunt (R-MO) managing the Senator’s legislative and appropriations portfolio for agriculture, energy, environment, transportation, aviation, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers issues. In this capacity, Andrew led strategic initiatives to secure provisions and federal funding in critical legislation that became public law, including annual fiscal year appropriations bills, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021, the Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) of 2020, and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA).

Andrew also served as Senior Professional Staff on the U.S. Senate Agriculture Committee for eight years where he managed the legislative portfolio encompassing conservation, forestry, pesticide, biotechnology, and environmental issues. Notably, Andrew served as a senior advisor to several Senate Republican Agriculture Committee leaders where he managed and negotiated various titles for both the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 and the Agricultural Act of 2014.

Prior to his time in the Senate, Andrew worked at a food and agriculture lobbying and consulting firm, The Russell Group, and served at the U.S. Department of Agriculture during the George W. Bush Administration in the Office of Congressional Relations. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science from Santa Clara University in Political Science.
