Ari draws on her 15 years of experience in media, government and at a digital start-up to help clients accomplish their communications goals.

Ari was previously the director of communications at The New York Times and spokeswoman for the Office of Management and Budget in the Obama White House.

Life Beyond FGS Global

Ari is a yoga and stand-up paddleboard yoga teacher. Her happy place is spending time by the Chesapeake Bay with her family.

Prior to FGS Global, Ari was the Director of Communications and spokesperson at The New York Times, where she managed media relations to amplify Times journalism.

She was previously the director of audience development at Upworthy. Before that, she served in the Obama White House as the assistant press secretary and spokeswoman for the Office of Management and Budget and as a Presidential Management Fellow in the White House Office of Digital Strategy.

Ari has also worked in performance management analytics at the District of Columbia Public Schools and was a public school teacher.

Originally from Harrisburg, Pa., she holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Pittsburgh and an M.B.A. focused on strategic planning and public policy from George Washington University, where she helped create the Certificate in Responsible Management.
