Chris Bumcrot is a Partner who specializes in attitude and opinion research with key stakeholders. He has expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methods. Recent work includes: conducting focus groups with policymakers and physicians; designing and analyzing a national online survey of retail investors; and interviewing company founders and VC investors for a client brand strategy project. Chris also leads the firm's Investor Perception Study product.
Chris founded and co-led ARC Research, a boutique market research and opinion polling firm advising a global roster of clients on brand, reputation, and policy issues. Earlier in his career, Chris was a co-founder of Loan Pricing Corporation, a financial data company that was acquired by Reuters. Between his entrepreneurial runs, Chris was an EVP at Sawyer Miller Group and RLLM.
Chris graduated with a B.A. in Applied Mathematics from Yale, where he was a member of the Whiffenpoofs of 1982.
Chris and his wife are long-time residents of Manhattan's Upper West Side. Their sons have grown up and been replaced by a terrier. He plays volleyball, chess, and bridge, and loves music, puzzles, and TV.
