David is a Partner in the New York office. He advises clients on a range of financial and digital communications related to M&A, crisis, proxy fights and governance, as well as corporate positioning and investor relations programs.

Recent assignments include assisting International Paper and Becton Dickenson on spin-offs, Gardner Denver on its combination with Ingersoll Rand, and L3 on its merger with Harris. Over the years he has counseled numerous companies with respect to CEO changes, including Unum, NCR, West Pharmaceuticals, Owens & Minor, Helen of Troy, Amalgamated Bank, Four Seasons, Endo and Legg Mason, and assisted Aetna, Air Products, Checkpoint Systems, Elan, Helen of Troy, Herbalife, MBIA, Office Depot, Phelps Dodge, Stride Rite and Unum in their dealings with activist investors.

For FINRA, he helped develop and oversee the creation of a digital content publishing platform focused on broad outreach to the retail investor community. Earlier work includes advising on numerous M&A transactions, including Dollar Thrifty, International Paper, Air Products, Stanley, Pepsi Bottling Group, Nationwide Financial Services, Activision, Alcan and Cargill. For years, he worked closely with Panamerican Beverages on ongoing investor relations along with its acquisitions of Coca-Cola's bottling operations in Venezuela, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Guatemala.

Earlier in his career, David was a member of the special situations and mergers and acquisitions group at Ogilvy Adams & Rinehart. Prior to that, he served as a researcher and writer with the 1988 Bush Presidential Campaign.

David holds a B.A. degree in history from Princeton University.
