Mark Veverka is a Partner in the San Francisco office. He was previously head of the San Francisco office of Sitrick and Company for nearly seven years. Mark's clients included Berkshire Hathaway spin-off Applied Underwriters, Toshiba, Dolby Laboratories and disaster mitigation start-up One Concern.

In addition to Sitrick, Mark also worked at Abernathy MacGregor and Eastwick Communications, now Hotwire. Mark entered strategic communications in 2014 after more than 25 years as a journalist, most recently as West Coast Editor and technology columnist at Barron's for 13 years, leading its coverage of Silicon Valley. His columns and articles often featured the likes of Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Michael Dell and Larry Ellison. He also appeared in a weekly on-air segment on CNBC. Prior to Barron's, Mark was a financial columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle, a staff writer for The Wall Street Journal, an associate editor of Crain's Chicago Business and worked at several daily newspapers. Early in his career, he was an on-air television reporter for the NBC affiliate in Tulsa, Okla.

The Chicago native holds a B.A. in journalism from the University of Oklahoma and an M.S. in journalism from Northwestern University. He is married with two grown daughters and lives in an East Bay suburb of San Francisco.
