Thomas von Oehsen works in Berlin and advises clients as a Managing Director on FGS Global’s Equity Advisory & IR team. His focus is on the strategic and communicative positioning of companies in the areas of corporate governance, sustainability, and investor relations, including dealing with influential and activist investors.

Companies benefit particularly from Thomas’ experienced view from the investor’s perspective, which helps them to be better prepared for general meetings and to position themselves more successfully in the capital market. As an expert and opinion maker for corporate governance, he is also a sought-after discussion partner and speaker in professional circles and the media.

Before joining FGS Global, Thomas worked with the world's largest proxy adviser, Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS), in the United States and Germany, where he served as head of the German-speaking markets for many years and was also responsible for the global ISS voting guidelines. He started his career in the financial services unit of the former DaimlerChrysler AG in Australia and Germany. Afterwards, he advised clients with his own consulting firm. Thomas is a fully qualified lawyer and holds a Master of Business Administration. He studied law at the Free University of Berlin.
