MDA Space

The Task

After 50-years of serving the world from its Canadian home and global offices, MDA Ltd. wanted to seize upon an important opportunity in early 2022: The company had recently (and successfully) listed shares on the TSX, and there was heightened public, commercial and political interest in the rapidly expanding global space industry.

Our Solution

We recommended MDA launch their first annual report as a public company in both static and interactive formats given that the intended audience was broader than the investment communityand would also include prospective partners and employees.

The design builds on MDA brand and uses striking photography of unique facilities and products to capture the imagination and illustrate what is possible with MDA technology.​

​We interviewed the CEO and other leaders for each report to capture messaging and anecdotes to help illustrate the company’s performance and achievements. In the latest edition, we used these interviews to build a Q&A into the report where leaders discuss the “MDA Way” and why it is central to the company’s growth and success. 

 Since its debut on the public markets in 2021, MDA has continued to rely on us to advise on communications and reputational issues as well as ongoing production of Annual Reports, and other key financial disclosure documents.


Website

The website edition of their inaugural report closely followed the design of the print report and included specific online features such as video and an interactive 3D satellite model that can be rotated and magnified to view it from a variety of angles.
