The Challenge

In support of a bill under consideration by the Maryland legislature to establish the Infant Lifetime Care Trust, which would guarantee lifetime care for infants with birth-related neurological injuries, The Alliance for Infant Lifetime Care was formed. The question of how to adjust Maryland’s medical liability system and sustainably care for injured infants has long challenged policymakers, and the Alliance, a broad coalition of doctors, nurses, advocates and hospitals, is positioning the Trust as a common-sense solution.
