The Task

TikTok created a document for educators and school staff on how to safely incorporate the platform into educational settings for minors and teenagers. This guide outlines key strategies for ensuring responsible platform usage, including setting privacy controls, understanding community guidelines, promoting positive content, and fostering digital literacy. Our task was to translate this valuable asset into an engaging playbook.

Our Solution

This 20-page brochure, created in alignment with TikTok's brand guidelines, adapts the visual language to suit the target audience. It presents technical information in an easily digestible format, guiding readers on how to use TikTok safely and responsibly.

Custom illustrations

We created over 10 custom-made illustrations for the brochure, ensuring each one aligned perfectly with TikTok’s brand identity. These illustrations were designed to capture the vibrant, dynamic, and creative essence of TikTok, while making the content visually engaging and easy to understand for the target audience. We focused on using bold colors, playful visuals, and modern design elements to reflect TikTok’s energetic and youthful vibe. Each illustration was tailored to complement the technical information, providing a visually appealing and seamless experience that resonated with the platform’s overall style and tone.

Digital & Print format

The brochure was meticulously designed to work seamlessly in both digital and printed formats, ensuring it maintained its visual impact across all mediums. For the digital version, we optimized the layout for easy navigation, incorporating interactive elements and ensuring it was mobile-friendly for convenient access on various devices.

Additionally to the brochure, we developed other projects with TikTok, including a platform designed to serve as a comprehensive resource for employees. This platform provides detailed information on TikTok’s offerings and employee benefits, such as wellbeing programs and fitness initiatives, while also offering updates on internal developments to foster transparency and keep employees informed. As part of this initiative, we launched a campaign to promote the election of the works council and encourage active participation from employees. The platform featured various applications aimed at building trust, strengthening commitment, and offering easy access to valuable resources and the latest company news, ensuring employees feel supported and connected to TikTok’s mission and culture.
