Rob lives in Alexandria with his wife and their kids. He is a passionate sports fan and is struggling in his efforts to learn guitar.

Rob Seidman is a Partner in FGS Global's Government Affairs Division. At FGS, Rob primarily handles issues including telecommunications, technology, technology, privacy, consumer protection and health. He works with clients to create and implement strategies to advance policies and outcomes on Capitol Hill, the Administration and regulatory agencies. 

Prior to joining the firm, Rob worked on the Senate Commerce Committee as Sen. Kelly Ayotte’s designee where he oversaw the Consumer Protection and Communications Subcommittees. In this capacity, he worked closely with the FCC and FTC on issues before Congress. Before joining the Commerce Committee, Rob worked in the House of Representatives, most recently for Congressman Marsha Blackburn as her Policy Director.

During the George W. Bush Administration, Rob was at the Department of Commerce where he ran the state government affairs division, in addition to working with the National Telecommunications and Information Administration. In this capacity, he interfaced with Congress, local officials and stakeholders to facilitate consumer awareness of the transition from analog to digital television. Additionally, Rob worked with the Patent and Trademark Office to advocate for patent reform legislation on Capitol Hill.

Rob also worked as National Coalitions Director for the McCain 2008 presidential campaign and spent seven years at a large trade association. He received his BA in Political Science from Vanderbilt University and lives in Alexandria, VA with his family.
