Asaf Nagler joins FGS Global to grow Infrastructure and Transportation Practice

FGS Global (“FGS”), a leading global strategic advisory and communications firm, today announced Asaf Nagler joined as a Managing Director in the Washington, D.C. office. Nagler will play a pivotal role in leading FGS’s growing infrastructure practice, bringing extensive experience in public affairs, business, and communications across key sectors including transportation, electrification and energy. 

As a key member of the Global Public Affairs team, Nagler will be instrumental in helping clients develop, navigate, and execute strategies that shape infrastructure and transportation policies and markets to positively impact their businesses.

Nagler joins FGS from ABB, a leading electrification and automation technology provider to a variety of infrastructure sectors. He most recently built and led the External Affairs team at ABB E-mobility and shaped Federal, State and Canadian policy, regulatory, and market frameworks for electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. Working in both mature and nascent industries from niche market to scale, he understands on a foundational level, the interplay between business, technology, and policy. 

He previously served as Chief of Staff to the Under Secretary at the US Department of Energy where he helped oversee $37 billion in Recovery Act investments and manage $8 billion in annual energy programs including energy efficiency, renewable energy, electric grid, nuclear and fossil energy, and nuclear clean-up.  

Asaf’s experience includes founding a solar data analytics company that provided services to electric utilities and starting a financial services advisory firm for clean energy infrastructure companies. He is a graduate of Colgate University and The George Washington University Law School.
