Establishes the Definitive Platform for Financial Services and Energy Clients Across Policy, Advocacy, and Strategic Communications
New York, August 5, 2026 — FGS Global ("FGS"), the strategic leadership advisory firm, today announced the acquisition of Rich Feuer Anderson ("RFA"), the preeminent bipartisan government affairs firm based in Washington, D.C. with more than two decades of experience advising financial services and energy clients on the full intersection of politics, policy, and regulation. The combination unites RFA's advocacy expertise and regulatory access with FGS's expertise in strategic communications, transaction advisory, and crisis management, as well as its global reach.
The addition of RFA will build on FGS and RFA’s leading financial services and energy practices – already serving the world's leading companies in both sectors – to create the first fully integrated platform for clients navigating policy and communications issues from Washington, D.C. to the global markets. Together, FGS and RFA will offer clients a single, integrated team spanning policy strategy, regulatory and legislative advocacy, strategic communications, and cross-border execution.
"Financial services and energy are two of the most rapidly shifting and dynamic industries globally, and the clients we serve in these sectors are asking for something the market has not yet delivered: Washington policy depth, regulatory access, and world-class communications under one roof," said Winnie Lerner, Partner and North America CEO of FGS. "RFA is the ideal partner to make that a reality, and we are proud to welcome their team to FGS."
Founded in 2003, RFA advises Fortune 500 companies, fintech startups, banks, asset managers, insurance companies, energy producers, utilities, as well as energy storage and infrastructure companies, among others, on their highest-stakes regulatory and legislative policy challenges. The firm has built a model that goes beyond traditional lobbying to offer regulatory risk analysis, investment diligence, written policy collateral, and political risk and congressional oversight counsel.
“The stakes in Washington have never been higher – our clients need a partner with the credibility to shape outcomes here and the reach to tell that story everywhere,” said Joel Johnson, Partner and Head of FGS’s Washington, D.C. Office. “Clients should not have to choose between best-in-class advocacy and best-in-class communications. With RFA, FGS continues to cement itself as the one firm in the market that can deliver both capabilities seamlessly, across every market that matters to them."
With FGS's global offices and investment in talent in the UK and Asia, RFA's U.S. clients gain access to advocacy support in Brussels, London, and across Asia-Pacific. FGS's European and APAC clients, in turn, gain direct access to RFA's relationships with U.S. regulators and Congress. The full RFA team and its leadership remain intact and will continue to provide clients with the level of service they have come to expect for more than two decades.
"Joining FGS is the perfect next step for RFA and for our clients," said John Anderson, Founder and Partner at RFA. "We have built our firm on the conviction that policy expertise, real relationships, and substantive credibility – not just access – are what move outcomes in Washington. FGS shares that philosophy and the combined platform will allow us to serve our clients around the world in ways that were simply not possible before."
Jared Sawyer, Partner at RFA, said: "Our clients have always trusted us to be embedded advisors who understand their businesses as well as they do. This combination deepens that value.”
Tom Koonce, Partner at RFA, added, “With FGS, we now have the communications, transactions, and global capabilities to sit alongside clients through every stage of their most consequential challenges from Washington to the boardroom."
This announcement marks FGS's second acquisition of a specialist bipartisan government affairs firm, following the September 2025 acquisition of Tarplin, Downs & Young, a preeminent health care policy and advocacy firm with two decades of experience advising clients on legislative and regulatory challenges across the health care ecosystem.
