New York, March 5, 2026 – FGS Global (“FGS”) today announced that Sally Susman, former Executive Vice President and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Pfizer and a longtime client of the firm, will join its Global Executive Board as an Independent Member, effective April 1, 2026. The appointment comes as FGS accelerates delivery of its long-term growth strategy and expands its global capabilities to help leaders succeed in critical moments.
Susman’s career is distinguished by her deft engagement of stakeholders across business, policy, finance, media and society, including through extraordinary moments of change and opportunity. Over her 18 years with Pfizer, Susman led stakeholder engagement for many of the company’s most transformational advancements, including groundbreaking strategic initiatives, leadership changes, transactions and the communications strategy for Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine. She previously held senior positions at The Estée Lauder Companies and American Express, where she deepened her expertise managing communications and government relations as closely linked disciplines. Susman also served in government earlier in her career, focusing on international trade. She is the author of the Wall Street Journal bestseller “Breaking Through: Communicating to Open Minds, Move Hearts, and Change the World,” detailing how Pfizer navigated the significant communications challenges of managing through COVID-19.
“Sally is a leader of exceptional integrity and vision who understands the converging forces shaping reputations today. She knows what CEOs and management teams should anticipate to address what’s ahead,” said Homayoun Hatami, Independent Chair of the Global Executive Board. “Her perspective will be invaluable as we continue to cement FGS’ position as the trusted partner to leaders navigating a complex world. We are thrilled to welcome her to our Global Executive Board.”
Hatami, a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, has led the Global Executive Board since April 2025.
“Joining FGS’ Global Executive Board is meaningful to me, as I’m drawn to consequential work and people who are passionate about solving the biggest, most complex challenges,” said Susman. “Having worked closely with FGS as a client, I know firsthand the expertise, access and outcomes they deliver – and I have great respect for their counsel. Together, FGS and KKR create a powerful platform for growth and I look forward to contributing to the firm’s continued success.”
“Sally operates at the critical intersection where business, government and public opinion meet. The ability to both advise clients on how these worlds intersect and mobilize the right people across the right platforms for impact is setting a new standard in our sector,” said Alexander Geiser, FGS Chief Executive Officer and member of the Global Executive Board. “Few appreciate more than Sally how valuable this combination of insights and influence can be when the stakes are high and we are very privileged that she has chosen to help shape the future of our firm.”
