Brussels – December 2025 – FGS Global, the world’s leading stakeholder strategy firm, is pleased to announce that Helen Oberg has joined the Brussels office as Partner, where she will lead the firm’s growing Healthcare Practice.
Helen brings nearly 20 years of experience in healthcare policy, government relations, and strategic communications at the European level. She joins FGS Global from Novo Nordisk, where she drove engagement on critical health and life sciences issues and leading advocacy efforts with European institutions and stakeholders.
Helen has a proven track record of developing and executing integrated public affairs strategies for the healthcare sector, with deep expertise in regulatory policy, patient access, and sustainability. Throughout her career, she has led pan-European and global healthcare campaigns. Her experience spans both corporate and consultancy roles, including positions at Burson Cohn & Wolfe and the Council of the EU, equipping her with a unique perspective on the evolving European healthcare landscape. Furthermore, she worked as Head of Marketing Communications for Abbott Vascular EMEA, and headed the Healthcare Practice for SEC NewGate.
Helen’s appointment comes as FGS Global continues to strengthen its healthcare capabilities globally, following the recent acquisition of Tarplin, Downs & Young (TDY), a leading U.S. healthcare policy and advocacy firm. This strategic expansion further positions FGS Global as the partner of choice for clients navigating complex healthcare policy, regulatory challenges, and stakeholder engagement across markets.
At FGS Global, Helen will spearhead the expansion of the firm’s healthcare offering in Brussels, supporting clients to navigate regulatory change, advance innovation, and deliver better outcomes for patients and society. She will work closely with FGS Global’s international team of healthcare and public affairs experts to provide strategic counsel at the intersection of policy, reputation, and stakeholder engagement.
“Helen’s appointment reflects our commitment to strengthening our healthcare capabilities in Brussels and across Europe,” said Dr. Brigitte von Haacke, CEO Europe of FGS Global. “Combined with our recent acquisition of TDY in the U.S., we are uniquely positioned to support clients in addressing healthcare challenges and opportunities worldwide.”
Helen Oberg said: “I am excited to join FGS Global at such a pivotal moment for healthcare in Europe. The sector faces unprecedented challenges and opportunities, and I look forward to working with our clients and colleagues to help shape policy, foster innovation, and improve patient outcomes.”
