M&A, private equity, and capital markets veteran brings wealth of experience to FGS’ Transactions & Financial Communications practice
New York, July 15, 2026 – FGS Global today announced the appointment of Jeffrey Rosen as Senior Advisor. Based in New York, he brings over four decades of experience advising boards and management teams on high-stakes matters ranging from transactions to activist defense and restructurings.
In addition to client work, Rosen chaired the Corporate Department at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP for a dozen years before assuming the mantle of Senior Chair of the Department. He led the firm’s representation on numerous high-profile M&A transactions, joint ventures, and restructurings and regularly counseled boards and senior management on critical governance issues, including risk management and activist challenges. Clients and peers have lauded his command of deal strategy, board interface, and ability to achieve ideal outcomes for clients and consider him among the top M&A/corporate lawyers in the country.
“Jeff is a legend, and we are delighted to welcome him to FGS,” said Andrew Cole, Deputy Global CEO and Co-Lead of the Transactions & Financial Communications practice at FGS Global. “Having partnered with Jeff many times on mission critical client assignments, we know the remarkable depth of his expertise advising boards and senior executives across the same corporate matters where we specialize – from transactions to activist defense. We look forward to his counsel and contributions for the benefit of our clients.”
"Throughout my career, I’ve seen firsthand the importance of strategic communications and government affairs in driving successful outcomes," said Rosen. "I have long admired FGS’ ability to help clients manage the most consequential moments as co-advisors, and look forward to bringing that same discipline and value to the work we will do together."
Throughout his legal career, Rosen has consistently been recognized as a leader in M&A. He was ranked Band 1 for Corporate/M&A in Chambers and Partners' Global Guide (2017-2026) which described him as a “major force in the market,” “one of the finest lawyers in town,” “excellent at deal strategy and execution” and “extraordinarily experienced, intelligent and creative.” He is recommended as a Senior Statesperson for M&A by Chambers USA (2026). His leadership in the field has also been recognized by The American Lawyer, The National Law Journal, IFLR1000 and The Legal 500 Hall of Fame.
