20 OCTOBER 2023 / NEW YORK – Today, leading global strategic communications advisory firm FGS Global announced the acquisition of Prospero Latino, a Latino-focused bilingual strategic communications firm based in Miami and Washington, DC. Prospero Latino works with corporate, political and non-profit clients to effectively connect with American Latinos.

“This move builds on the existing partnership between our two firms and better positions both of us to reach the stakeholders that matter most to our clients,” said Winnie Lerner, CEO of FGS Global for North America. "Prospero Latino’s extensive experience with Hispanic media and stakeholder engagement is a crucial addition that will bolster our clients’ ability to connect with one of the most dynamic, fast-growing and influential communities in the U.S.”

Prospero Latino offers a range of services complementing and enhancing FGS Global’s existing capabilities, including advocacy communications, corporate communications and cultural consulting. Its Latino-focused public relations strategies include Spanish language and Latino earned media outreach, third-party and community engagement, Spanish language media training, bilingual Latino-focused content creation and transcreations.

“Joining forces with FGS Global will allow us to extend our expertise in communicating with the Hispanic community to many more companies and organizations at a time when the Latino community’s role in shaping the future of our country has never been more important,” said Jose Parra, CEO of Prospero Latino, who will join FGS Global as a Partner. "Our community is a quickly rising economic, political and social force that is rich in diversity. Organizations seeking to engage Latinos more deeply must understand the nuances of language, culture and history that shape the community in its various forms. We’re excited to help new and existing clients do this as part of FGS Global.”

Prospero Latino was founded in 2014 by Parra, who was formerly Senior Advisor to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Communications Director for Rep. Mike Honda (D-Calif.). He was also a Latino communications advisor for President Obama’s reelection and head of the 2012 and 2016 Democratic National Convention Hispanic media team. Parra was also a journalist at The Miami Herald and the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Prospero Latino, with a presence in both Washington, DC and Miami, will be fully integrated into FGS Global as FGS Prospero.
