Her extraordinary lifetime of service is one that will be admired around the world.
Seven decades of duty and devotion make her the longest reigning monarch in British history and the second longest anywhere. When Her Majesty first came to the throne, Harry Truman was the US President, Winston Churchill was the British Prime Minister, and Joseph Stalin was the leader of the Soviet Union. After seventy years of service, her sense of duty was exemplified just this week through her personally appointing her 15th Prime Minister.
She will be deeply missed, and our thoughts and condolences are with the Royal Family and all throughout the Commonwealth of Nations.
