Leading government affairs and strategic communications firm The Glover Park Group (GPG) announced today that Randy DeValk has joined the firm as a Managing Director. DeValk will advise clients across GPG’s broad policy portfolio, as his issue expertise and government experience is wide-ranging.

DeValk concluded nearly 30 years of public service by serving six years in the Obama Administration; as a counselor to the White House Office of Legislative Affairs, and as a counselor to Secretaries Geithner and Lew at the Treasury Department. He began his government service with eight years on the Senate Budget Committee and concluded his work on Capitol Hill after 15 years in the Office of the Senate Democratic Leader — serving as a senior policy advisor and strategist to Senators Tom Daschle and Harry Reid.

“Randy has been at the very center of every major domestic and foreign policy debate in recent history. If someone has played a key role in more public policy issues over the last few decades, I haven’t met him or her. Randy’s experience is unique, and his record of accomplishment is remarkable. We are fortunate he’s joined us, and our clients will benefit significantly,” said Joel Johnson, Managing Director and head of GPG’s Government Relations division.

DeValk will focus on a host of issues at GPG, including taxes, trade, appropriations, financial services, cryptocurrency and national security.
