ESG and sustainability specialist Adrian Rimmer joins Finsbury Glover Hering as Partner in London

London, April 2021: Finsbury Glover Hering, the global strategic communications advisory firm, today announced ESG and sustainable finance expert Adrian Rimmer has joined the firm as a partner in London to provide leadership to the sustainability and climate offering.

Adrian brings over 20 years of experience of working with major financial institutions, businesses and not-for-profits, and an expert knowledge of ESG, sustainability and climate-related issues within the international regulatory and institutional investment landscape.

Adrian joins from the London Stock Exchange Group, where he was Senior Advisor, Green & Sustainable Finance, leading an initiative to scale-up sustainable finance across its capital markets. As a result, London Stock Exchange was named ‘Stock Exchange of the Year’ in Environmental Finance’s Sustainable Investment awards.

As CEO of international certification body Gold Standard, Adrian led the development of impact finance models for climate and sustainable development projects worldwide. He established ABN AMRO’s Environmental Markets business and later supported renewable energy and cleantech clients as a Director in The Royal Bank of Scotland’s corporate finance team.

Finsbury Glover Hering’s teams across North America, Europe and Asia bring together experts in sustainability, corporate purpose, investor stewardship, employee engagement, public policy and communications that have worked at the highest levels of government, policy and business.

James Murgatroyd, Managing Partner at Finsbury Glover Hering, said:

“Adrian will be a hugely valuable addition to our growing global ESG and sustainability practice, particularly as we look to the UK’s hosting of COP26 in November and how we can support our clients. We are thrilled Adrian has joined Finsbury Glover Hering at such an exciting time of growth for our firm.”

Adrian Rimmer, Partner at Finsbury Glover Hering, said:

“Investors and regulators increasingly require companies to demonstrate effective management of climate change and ESG issues. Customers vote with their wallets about the handling of environmental and social concerns. I’m passionate about helping organisations create sustainable, long-term value and commercial solutions that drive triple bottom-line benefits. The opportunity to support Finsbury Glover Hering’s clients in addressing these challenges and opportunities is tremendously exciting.”
