Former media advisor and department lead in the German Chancellery strengthens advisory offering with a focus on leadership positioning and reputation management
Eva Christiansen will join Finsbury Glover Hering’s partner group on July 1, 2022, bringing her outstanding experience in strategic leadership positioning, reputation and crisis management to the table.
With a diploma in economics, Eva Christiansen started her career in auditing. After moving into politics in 1998 she started focusing on strategic communications. Since 1999, she has supported German Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel in a wide range of functions: Her positions included spokesperson for the CDU Germany as well as spokesperson for the CDU/CSU parliamentary group in the German Bundestag. From 2006 onwards, Eva Christiansen worked in the Chancellery, most recently as media advisor and head of the department "Political Planning, Innovation and Digital Policy, Strategic IT Steering".
With the addition of Eva Christiansen, Finsbury Glover Hering continues to expand its integrated corporate and leadership positioning offering. Brigitte von Haacke, CEO FGH Europe commented: "Like no other, Eva Christiansen has shown how you can manage reputation in the long term – and this in a very dynamic, always critical and highly political environment. I have the highest respect for this achievement and look forward to working with Eva Christiansen to further expand our expertise in leadership positioning."
Eva Christiansen will be based in Finsbury Glover Hering’s Berlin office, where a team of almost one hundred communications experts offers the consulting services of all practices under one roof (Government Affairs, Policy & Advocacy, Tech & Transformation, Corporate & Transaction Communications, Crisis & Issues Management).
Commenting on her appointment, Eva Christiansen said: "In view of the dynamic changes in the global economy, any organization can only be successful if – on top of its market positioning – it systematically integrates the requirements of long-term sociopolitical developments into the overall strategy. This is precisely what Finsbury Glover Hering does as one of the world's leading strategic communications consultancies. I am very much looking forward to the team and the new task."
At Finsbury Glover Hering Eva Christiansen will focus on the strategic positioning of executives as well as reputation management of companies and organizations in dynamic transformation processes. Eva Christiansen will not be responsible or available for any type of lobbying activities as part of her work at Finsbury Glover Hering.
