FGS GLOBAL, AUGUST 8, 2023, NEW YORK, NY - The strategic advisor for the stakeholder economy, today announced the appointment of two senior hires to its global management team. Akin Harrison joins the firm as Chief Legal Officer having spent over 20 years delivering strategic legal counsel across the media sector. Rebecca Gasser joins the firm as Global Chief Information Officer responsible for FGS Global’s worldwide technology strategy.
Prior to FGS Global, Akin served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel at media and marketing services company TEGNA Inc. (NYSE: TGNA) where he led TEGNA’s law department and oversaw all of TEGNA’s legal, compliance and regulatory matters. Prior to joining TEGNA, Akin was a corporate attorney at two national law firms where his practice included representing clients in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings and corporate lending transactions. In his role at FGS Global, Akin will lead the firm’s legal function and contribute to the ongoing development of global strategy. He will be a member of FGS’s executive committee reporting to the CEO.
Rebecca joins from Omnicom Health where she was Global CIO responsible for leading, developing and overseeing the global technology organization, including Product Management, DevOps, Service Delivery and a Development Center. Prior to Omnicom Health, Rebecca held senior roles with Ferrandino & Son and global pharmaceutical company GSK. In her role, Rebecca will be responsible for overseeing IT across FGS Global’s three regions and 27 offices.
