Amsterdam/The Hague, 1 September 2025 - FGS Global, the world’s leading stakeholder strategy firm, welcomes Jeanette Hamster and Maartje Snellen as new Partners into the Dutch business, effective September 1. Their arrival marks a key milestone in the growth of FGS Global in The Netherlands and strengthens the firm’s leadership and advisory capabilities.
Maartje Snellen is a seasoned corporate affairs professional who brings a wealth of experience in strategic communications, reputation and crisis management from her previous (inter)national roles at Shell, NAM, Huawei and Heineken, as well as from her agency work including Burson-Marsteller. Maartje will play a central role in helping clients navigate complex challenges, strengthen resilience and improve reputation, working across our The Hague and Amsterdam offices.
Jeanette Hamster brings extensive experience in developing and implementing stakeholder engagement strategies aimed at enhancing business and policy outcomes. She previously held senior (international) roles at Shell, Royal Schiphol Group, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Hill+Knowlton Strategies. Most recently, she freelanced as the Project Lead for the NATO Public Forum. This event was an integral part of the NATO Summit that took place at the end of June in The Hague and that brought together politicians, opinion makers, defence- & security experts to discuss the themes of the summit and developments around the world that affect our security. Jeanette will play a key role in strengthening FGS Global’s public affairs profile in the Netherlands and the wider FGS Global network.
“Since launching FGS Global in The Netherlands in October 2022, we have advised clients during decisive moments and supported them with issue management and crisis mandates, stakeholder outreach programs and high-profile cross-border M&A transactions. Joining forces in October 2024 with Hague Corporate Affairs, was instrumental for clients and colleagues, being able to offer a fully integrated offer to Dutch and multi-national businesses. We are proud to welcome Maartje and Jeanette to our firm as this reflects our ambition to broaden leadership and capabilities across The Netherlands and beyond”, said Brigitte von Haacke, CEO Continental Europe at FGS Global.
Both new Partners will join an experienced Dutch leadership team, including the founders of legacy Hague Corporate Affairs – Vincent Nieuwelink and Peter ter Horst – alongside Menno Snel, next to Frank Jansen, Anneke Hoijtink and Tim van der Zanden in Amsterdam.
