  • Katharina Blumenfeld promoted to Partner

Following the successful opening of the Paris office two months ago, Finsbury Glover Hering expands its leadership team with the arrival of Denis Simonneau as public affairs Senior Advisor.

Previously, Denis worked for L’Oréal as Senior Vice President in charge of Institutional Relations and prior to that he was Member of the Executive Committee in charge of European and International Relations with ENGIE. Before moving to the private sector, Denis had an extensive career as a diplomat and a government official with posts both in France and abroad, including in the United States and in Brussels. His expertise in French and European policy making will prove a particularly valuable addition to the government relations, policy and advocacy practices of Finsbury Glover Hering in France, across Europe and globally.

Denis joins Géraldine Amiel and Nathalie Falco, Partners, who launched the Finsbury Glover Hering Paris office in November 2021 and Katharina Blumenfeld, also a member of the Paris leadership team who was recently promoted to Partner. Katharina Blumenfeld has been with the firm’s capital markets and transaction team in Frankfurt for more than 11 years. She worked across multiple complex situations, leads prominent multinational accounts and manages the international collaboration with Finsbury Glover Hering’s partner consultancies Fogel & Partners in the Nordics and LLYC in Latin America, Spain and Portugal.

Phoebe Kebbel, Managing Partner and member of Finsbury Glover Hering's Global Partnership Board, said: "Our new Paris team has come off to an impressive start. Today’s announcement demonstrates our global capabilities and local footprint with Denis being an essential member of the team as he is equally at home in politics and business – in Paris, Brussels and on the international stage. We are also extremely happy to announce Katharina’s promotion to Partner. Her expertise, network and knowledge of our firm have greatly contributed to our flying start in France and our continuously growing Paris team.”
