Foreign Policy Expert Ambassador “(ret.)” Christoph Heusgen joins FGS Global in Berlin as a Senior Advisor effective March 1.  

Christoph Heusgen will strengthen FGS Global’s geopolitical and public policy offerings, helping our clients from around the world navigate the political and economic uncertainties that are increasing influencing their strategic environment.

Christoph Heusgen has a long and distinguished career in foreign and security policy, having advised world leaders on the most pressing foreign policy issues of the day.  From 2022 until 2025, he served as Chairman of the Munich Security Conference, the world's leading forum for debating international security policy.  He was Germany’s Ambassador to the United Nations from 2017 until 2021, and twice served as President of the UN Security Council during Germany’s tenure as a non-permanent member.  For over a decade, from 2005 to 2017, Christoph Heusgen served as foreign policy and security advisor for German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
