Igor Khrestin Joins Finsbury Glover Hering as Managing Director in Washington, D.C. Office

2 March 2021 / Washington, DC, USA – Leading global strategic communications advisory firm, Finsbury Glover Hering (FGH), today announced that Igor Khrestin has joined the firm as a managing director in the Washington, D.C. office. Khrestin brings more than 15 years of experience in government and advocacy to the firm, including senior legislative experience in both chambers of the U.S. Congress.

Khrestin comes to FGH from the office of Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO), where he served as National Security Advisor and simultaneously as Staff Director of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on East Asia, the Pacific, and International Cybersecurity Policy. Previously, Khrestin worked for Representative and then-Senator Mark Kirk (R-IL), where he served as the staff lead for foreign relations, trade, and appropriations matters.

Prior to his time on Capitol Hill, Khrestin worked at the lobbying and communications firm BGR Group, helping advise a range of international and corporate clients. He also worked at public policy think tank the American Enterprise Institute, where he conducted research on Eurasian affairs and published numerous articles, essays and opinion pieces in major publications.

Khrestin received his master’s degree from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, an undergraduate degree from Illinois Wesleyan University, and a certificate in government from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
