Joe Palombo joins FGS Global as Partner

April 15, 2024, LONDON: The leading global strategic communications advisory firm FGS Global strengthens its leadership team in London with Joe Palombo who joins the firm as a Partner. With over 18 years of experience across the global public and private sectors, Joe will be instrumental in developing FGS Global's transaction-specific political risk and political due diligence offer.

He joins from Global Counsel where he spent five years designing and running the institutional investor strategic advisory business. This included helping private equity sponsors (buy-and sell-side), sovereign wealth funds and family offices understand and manage political, policy and regulatory risk embedded within M&A transactions.

Before his time at Global Counsel, Joe served as a U.S. diplomat with postings to Kigali, Washington DC, Hong Kong, and Mexico City. He spent the first 5 years of his career working in London in investor relations-focused roles in finance.

"Joe's extensive experience and proven expertise in political risk analysis are invaluable assets for FGS Global as we expand our services to meet the evolving needs of our clients," said Faeth Birch, CEO of UK, Middle East and Asia. “His appointment highlights our commitment to excellence and innovation across our transaction and financial communications offer. We are delighted to have him bring this expertise to FGS Global.”

Joe Palombo said: “FGS Global offers a tremendous platform with deep sectoral expertise and global reach at a time when politics, policy, and regulation are increasingly important considerations for institutional investors. I look forward to working with FGS’s teams across the globe to bolster the firm’s strategic advisory offering for private equity, sovereign wealth and family office decision makers.”

Beyond his professional endeavors, Joe serves as a UK Trustee and global Investment Committee member of impact investment charity NESsT. He is also a UK Trustee of Ol Pejeta Conservancy - a private Kenyan conservation area focused on saving and rebuilding
rhino populations.
