Keiichi Hotta Joins Finsbury in Japan from MUFG

Tokyo, July 6, 2021 – Finsbury Glover Hering (“FGH”), a leading global strategic communications consultancy, announced today that Keiichi Hotta has joined the firm as a Managing Director in its Tokyo office from The MUFG Bank Ltd., (“MUFG”) Japan’s largest bank, effective today.

During Keiichi’s 30-year career at MUFG, he held both domestic and international roles, living and working in New York and California, and has extensive planning, team management, and risk and crisis handling experience. His most recent role at MUFG was Managing Director, Head of Global Human Resources where he led the global HR operations across four regions, spanning over 40 countries and 20,000 employees.

Keiichi joins Finsbury Glover Hering at a time when the company is accelerating its senior hires across its offices in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing and Singapore. Driven by strong client demand for high-quality counsel and communications services, Finsbury Glover Hering is expecting to further increase the size of its teams in Japan and other Asian markets in coming months.

In addition to his latest role, Keiichi’s career at MUFG includes stints as Deputy Chief of Staff for the Americas, Deputy General Manager of the Global Planning Division at the Bank’s Headquarters, Head of Talent Acquisition and L&D in the HR Division, US Corporate Banking at the New York Branch, and international credit and risk. He joined the then Mitsubishi Bank after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in law from Tokyo’s Keio University.
