5 October 2023 / Washington DC – Leading global strategic communications advisory firm FGS Global announced seasoned national security and technology expert Chad Ensley is joining as a partner, based in Washington, DC. Ensley joined FGS from the federal government, where he served as a senior program manager overseeing research on emerging technology and liaising with the private sector, and from Khyros, an artificial intelligence startup that has developed analytic software to automate geospatial intelligence analysis, where he is CEO and co-founder. Ensley brings to the firm over 20 years of global leadership experience at the intersection of national security policy and technology.

Ensley’s experience in the U.S. government spanned worldwide assignments working at the Central Intelligence Agency, Pentagon, White House and Department of State, where he produced policy-relevant research on emerging technologies and national security. He built bridges between the U.S. government and key private sector partners and helped to stand up innovative programs producing analytic research and insights on critical sectors, including artificial intelligence, biotechnology, financial services and quantum computing, among others.
Ensley began his career in national security immediately following 9/11, serving as an intelligence analyst at the Pentagon focused on emerging technology threats, WMD proliferation and International Export Control Regimes. He later moved to the CIA where, as a senior leader, he developed, analyzed and synthesized intelligence on strategic technology and geopolitical competition into analytic products and briefings for top policymakers at the White House, Department of Defense and Congress.
Ensley received a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Georgia, a Master of Arts in National Security Policy and Technology from Georgetown University and studied International Economics and Business at the Johns Hopkins University.
