Murray also drafted and analyzed legislative language and played a pivotal role in the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill, the Pesticide Registration Improvement Extension Act of 2018 and the National Bioengineered Food Disclosure Law.

“Reflective of the incredible growth of GPG Food, we are delighted to add another senior leader to our practice,” said GPG managing director Grant Leslie. “DaNita’s unmatched expertise and deep relationships will be invaluable in navigating a wide variety of pressing issues in the food and agriculture sector for our clients.”

Murray has also held a variety of positions at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Murray began her career in legislative affairs in 2003 for then-U.S. Representative William Janklow (R-SD). Murray received her juris doctor with honor from Drake University Law School and an undergraduate degree from South Dakota State University.
