We are seeking a seasoned Communications/Media Managing Director to lead the development of policy media, policy communications, and advocacy campaigning strategies in Brussels. This individual will leverage their deep expertise in the Brussels media and policy landscape, strong relationships with journalists, and a background in journalism or communications within EU institutions to deliver impactful solutions for clients. The role focuses on applying personal advisory expertise, mentoring teams, and integrating traditional, digital, and influencer activation approaches to high stakes advocacy and communications projects.

Lead EU policy media, communications, and advocacy campaigns, integrating traditional and digital approaches.
Leverage strong relationships with Brussels journalists and deep knowledge of the EU media and policy stakeholder landscape.
Train and mentor teams to enhance their policy communications and campaign execution skills.
Provide strategic counsel on high-stakes communications and advocacy challenges.
Incorporate influencer activation and digital tools into communications strategies.
What should you bring along?
10+ years in EU policy communications, journalism, or related fields, with a proven track record in EU institutions (e.g. former spokesperson), corporates, or consultancies.
Proven expertise in EU policy communications or journalism with a strong network of Brussels media contacts.
Deep knowledge of the EU media and policy landscape, including digital and influencer activation.
Demonstrated ability to execute high-stakes advocacy and communications strategies.
Strong mentoring and leadership skills to develop team capabilities.
Entrepreneurial spirit.
