Senior Associate / Associate, Equity Advisory and Investor Relations

The Role

This position combines elements of financial analysis, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communications. The position will work closely with team members to deliver high-quality insights, materials, and advice to clients navigating capital markets, investor engagement, and corporate positioning. Candidate with less experience will be considered as Associate.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Project Management

  • Support day-to-day management of client accounts and project deliverables.

  • Assist in the execution of investor relations strategies and communication plans.

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of high-quality work.

Investor Communications

  • Assist in preparing investor-facing materials such as earnings presentations, investor decks, and Q&A documents.

  • Support the development of data-driven narratives for investor meetings, capital markets days, and conferences.

  • Draft meeting briefs, speaker notes, and summaries for client engagements.

Market & Financial Analysis

  • Monitor and analyze share price movements, trading activity, and institutional ownership trends.

  • Conduct peer benchmarking, earnings analysis, and market sentiment tracking.

  • Contribute to internal and client-facing reports on capital markets trends and investor sentiment.

Media & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Support media monitoring and engagement efforts related to investor communications.

  • Conduct research on investor sentiment, ESG trends, and analyst expectations.

  • Assist in targeting and tracking engagement with institutional investors and analysts.

Technology & Process Optimization

  • Utilize tools such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, and Excel to support data analysis and reporting.

  • Help build and maintain dashboards, templates, and models to streamline client deliverables.

  • Contribute to the development of automation tools and best practices for internal use.

Qualifications & Skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related field.

  • 1 to 2 years experience in an investment bank, ideally focused on ECM, DCM, M&A or equity research.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).

  • Familiarity with financial databases (Bloomberg, Capital IQ) and CRM systems.

Soft Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to distil complex data into clear insights.

  • Self-motivated with an ability to work to tight deadlines.

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills,

  • Team player who seeks to collaborate with others.

  • Understanding of capital markets, financial statements, and investor relations best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a publicly traded company or investment firm.

  • Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks and shareholder activism trends.

  • CFA, CPA, or progress toward certification is a plus.
