Akash is a Director in the New York office. He primarily advises companies across industries and high-profile individuals on transaction and financial communications and crisis management, with a focus on private capital firms.
Akash has provided strategic communications counsel to some of the world’s most prominent asset management firms on a variety of transactions, fundraises, portfolio company issues and ongoing reputation management. Notable assignments include KKR, Thoma Bravo, Cerberus, EQT Partners, Energy Capital Partners, IPI Partners, the Carlyle Group and Advent International.
Akash’s other representative experience includes advising Novozymes on its merger with Chr. Hansen; VMware on its sale to Broadcom and spin-off from Dell; PayPal on cross-border transactions; ExxonMobil, Dollar Tree and loanDepot on shareholder activism; Kodak on a regulatory investigation; an investor on media strategy in the Varsity Blues college admissions situation; and a global investment advisory firm in connection with sexual harassment allegations against an executive. He also worked with Bumble, IHS Towers, Wanda Sports Group, AMTD International and MotorK on their IPOs.
Currently based in the New York office, Akash previously spent two years on the capital markets team at FGS Global’s London office, where he advised on various EMEA engagements. Akash started his career in New York at Sard Verbinnen & Co, one of FGS Global's predecessor firms.
Akash graduated from New York University with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Politics. He is fluent in Bengali and Hindi.
