Life at FGS Global

I am a political and policy specialist in fintech, focused on payments, cryptoassets and DeFi, agentic commerce, financial market infrastructures and remittances, helping our fintech clients engage with purpose in policy debates and shaping political discourse towards the UK's start-up ecosystem.

Life Pre-FGS Global

With ten years in financial services, I worked in investment banking before moving into government. I entered political advisory in 2024, having enjoyed becoming a regular contributor to the policy and political debate around fintech.

Life Beyond FGS Global

Forever into cardio sports, I am a marathon runner, triathlete and keen cyclist. I also volunteered over the last decade running Labour campaigns in Lambeth and Wandsworth. Nowadays travel is my partner and I's passion, with family in Sri Lanka and France, though New Zealand still takes our hearts!

I am a Director in the Government & Public Affairs practice in London, responsible toward the firm’s UK fintech client segment and providing senior policy and political counsel to major fintechs, digital assets and payments firms, neobanks and start-up investors.

I am a fintech policy and regulation specialist with a decade of financial services experience, starting at J.P. Morgan in market derivatives and later delivering the firm’s Brexit strategy. Pursuing a longstanding interest in politics, I joined HM Treasury in 2020 as a senior official, leading UK fintech policy across cryptoassets, payments, financial services and competition law.

At FGS Global, I help fintechs navigate a highly disruptive and quickly evolving political and policy environment, be that the growth of cryptoassets, the deployment of AI and agentic commerce, and the geopolitics of new forms of money and finance.

I am an active contributor to the UK fintech community and was proud to be named in Innovate Finance’s Pride in Fintech Powerlist in 2024. I hold a BA in politics from the University of York.
