Big fan of playing outside, including hiking, skiing, gardening and biking. Hails from rural Michigan and is a proud Michigan State Spartan (Go Green!).
As a Partner and co-leader of FGS Global's Food and Agriculture team, Alyn Kiel advises leadership teams as they navigate a heavily regulated and closely watched industry.
Alyn designs integrated communications and public affairs campaigns for the moments that matter most to a company's business and brand: activist and political pressure, regulatory scrutiny, and the decisions that build lasting trust with customers, regulators and the public.
Her work includes advising clients through leadership transitions, recalls and litigation, as well as navigating the challenging regulatory and perception environments surrounding new food technologies. She has also built the profile of a newly-appointed Fortune 500 CEO, launched new companies from stealth mode, developed and run a leading policy advocacy organization, and guided clients through funding rounds, transactions and other financial milestones.
Before joining FGS Global, she served at the U.S. Department of Agriculture as senior strategic communications advisor and speechwriter to the Secretary during the Obama Administration. A graduate of Michigan State University, Alyn is a former Michigan FFA State President and grew up in rural Montague, Michigan
