Born and raised in the DMV, where he now lives with his wife, kids and dog. Prefers tennis over golf. Would ski and bike every day if that was possible. Tries to make a positive impact wherever he can.
Asaf plays a pivotal role in leading FGS Global’s growing infrastructure practice, bringing extensive experience in public affairs, business, and communications across key sectors including transportation, electrification and energy. Asaf brings a deep understanding of how policy and regulations can impact a business, from sales and marketing to product development and manufacturing.
Nagler joins FGS Global from ABB, a leading electrification and automation technology provider to a variety of infrastructure sectors where he designed and implemented stakeholder strategies in the areas of transportation, smart grid, automation, energy, advanced manufacturing, electrification, supply chains, and more. Importantly, he helped business leaders understand the changing policy landscape and how to implement business strategies that kept them ahead of the curve.
He most recently built and led the External Affairs team at ABB E-mobility shaping Federal, State and Canadian policy, regulatory, and market frameworks for electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. Working in both mature industries and growing nascent industries from niche market to scale, he understands on a foundational level, the interplay between business, technology, and policy.
He previously served as Chief of Staff to the Under Secretary at the US Department of Energy where he helped oversee $37 billion in Recovery Act investments and manage $8 billion in annual energy programs including energy efficiency, renewable energy, electric grid, nuclear and fossil energy, and nuclear clean-up.
Asaf’s experience includes founding a solar data analytics company that provided services to electric utilities and starting a financial services advisory firm for clean energy infrastructure companies. He is a graduate of Colgate University and The George Washington University Law School.
