Ayako joined FGS Global in February 2022 and advises a number of clients, including global financial institutions and healthcare clients on their communications. Prior to joining FGS Global, Ayako worked at J.P. Morgan for more than five years as Communication Manager for Japan where she led various aspects of that Firm’s corporate communications and supported business heads by assisting with client activities. Before that, she was Head of Corporate Affairs & Brand Marketing for Standard Chartered Bank in Japan, responsible for all the internal and external communications, CSR strategy development, corporate branding, and client business support. She also served as a project lead for the Formula One Sponsorship Program at ING in Japan where she was responsible for planning and executing promotions and events, media relations, internal communications, and budget / people management.

Before joining the global financial industry, Ayako spent over 10 years in NTT, a major Japanese telecommunication company where she spent five years as in sales and another five years in NTT’s in-house advertising agency coordinating global hospitality events and exhibitions for NTT group companies.

From her experience in both Japanese and global companies, Ayako brings strong communications skills and extensive relationships with external stakeholders including the media, based on her background in public relations and sales.
