Ben Richardson

Ben is responsible for running FGS Global’s operations in Asia and has extensive experience working across the region, having lived in Hong Kong, Singapore, Mumbai and Kuala Lumpur. With a focus on corporate reputation management, cross border M&A and restructuring, and crisis and cyber-security response, Ben works closely with his client’s senior executives to provide strategic counsel around high impact issues and events.

At FGS Global, Ben works with many of the world’s leading financial services and asset management companies, manufacturing and agri-business firms, biotech and pharmaceutical companies and education providers. He has advised on corporate profile raising and stakeholder engagement plans in greater China, cross-border acquisitions in Asia, Europe and the US, bond defaults, litigation and arbitration preparation, the redevelopment of Malaysia’s national stadium, management change, investor outreach and share-price recovery plans.

Prior to joining FGS Global, Ben was a journalist. He spent a decade with the BBC, where his roles included bureau chief in Singapore and saw him running the broadcaster’s flagship business TV programme in Asia. Ben also has extensive experience as a digital and wire-journalist, having worked for the BBC’s website, and prior to that at Bloomberg News, covering stocks in London and Eastern Europe as a correspondent in Budapest. Ben has also created and delivered bespoke media and crisis training programmes for CEOs and top management, as well as press teams, in-house comms divisions and international news organisations.

Ben graduated from Durham University (U.K.).
