Ben Spicehandler is a Partner in the New York office where he co-leads FGS Global's shareholder activism defense and preparedness practice. He advises management teams and boards on communications strategies across a wide variety of domestic and cross-border M&A, shareholder activism defense and preparedness, investor relations, IPO and crisis situations. He also counsels financial sponsors involved in a wide range of ongoing and special situations.
Notable recent assignments include providing support to: The Wendy’s Company, ExxonMobil, SoftBank Group, Avis Budget Group, Toshiba, eBay, AG Growth International, and SINOVAC on shareholder activism defense; Hertz, Bowlero, Douglas Elliman, Millrose Properties, SoftBank, and The Wendy’s Company on investor relations and corporate positioning; Synopsys on its proposed combination with Ansys, DirecTV on its proposed combination with Dish Network, Summit Materials on its combination with Quikrete, Sprint on its merger with T-Mobile, and Duke Realty on its merger with Prologis; Arm and Uber on their IPOs; SoftBank on its launch of the Vision Fund, Latin America Funds and the SB Opportunity Fund, as well as its investments in WeWork, Arm and Deutsche Telekom; and Stonepeak and Atairos on various investments across the U.S., Asia, and Europe.
