Boyd lives in Toronto with his wife and kids. In his spare time, you can find him in the kitchen, by (or in) a lake, or hunting for his drive in the rough.
Boyd Erman is a Partner with FGS Longview in Toronto. His expertise includes strategic and financial communications, media relations, special situations, reputation building and crisis management. He advises clients across a broad range of sectors.
He joined what is now FGS Longview as a Partner in 2014. Since then, he has worked on many of Canada's highest-profile and most complex transactions and crises.
Prior to 2014, he spent eight years at The Globe and Mail, Canada's main national newspaper, where he was the author of the influential “Streetwise” column and lead reporter on complex transactions, shareholder activism, M&A and investment banking. He was also a daily contributor to Business News Network (BNN) -- Canada's version of CNBC. Boyd is a three-time winner of Canada's National Newspaper Award for business coverage. He began his career as a journalist in 1997 and worked for the National Post, Bloomberg News and Dow Jones before joining The Globe and Mail.
He is an Honours graduate of Carleton University with a Bachelor of Journalism.
