Life Beyond FGS Global

Enjoys travelling and discovering new food spots. Attempts to stay healthy through occasional gymming and running.

Brendan advises clients on geopolitical and regulatory developments across Asia. He supports organisations in navigating complex policy environments, with a focus on translating political, economic and regulatory shifts into clear implications for business strategy, stakeholder engagement and market positioning. His work spans public policy analysis and geopolitical risk assessment, helping clients anticipate change and engage effectively with policymakers and regulators.

Prior to joining FGS Global, Brendan was a Senior Associate at Global Counsel in Singapore, where he advised financial institutions, fintechs and digital asset firms on regulatory and geopolitical developments across key Asian markets. His work included supporting market entry strategies, shaping policy positioning, and delivering analysis on evolving regulatory frameworks to inform client decision-making and stakeholder engagement.

Brendan previously served in Singapore’s Ministry of Finance, where he led strategic policy reviews across areas including housing, retirement adequacy, and marriage and parenthood policies. He also served in the MOF's Budget Teams, including leading Budget communications, translating complex policy measures into clear public messaging and supporting engagement with stakeholders. Earlier in his MOF career, he worked on security and resilience programmes, where he designed and refined policies to optimise resource allocation, enhance operational effectiveness, and deliver against national policy priorities.

Brendan holds a degree in Political Science from the National University of Singapore.
