Bryan works with clients across a range of M&A, shareholder activism and crisis situations, as well as developing and executing ongoing investor relations and corporate positioning programs.
Bryan began his career as an investment banker at Lehman Brothers and Evercore Partners before joining Citadel in a range of investor relations, communications and operating roles.
Bryan can be found running through the North Shore of Chicago generally in the early hours of the morning, 12 months a year.
Bryan Locke is a Partner and Head of the Chicago office. He advises clients on complex financial and other communications matters impacting value and reputation, including M&A, shareholder activism and crises, as well as ongoing strategic communications support.
Recent assignments include advising Verso on its unsolicited approach from Atlas Capital and sale to Billerud, TreeHouse Foods in the announcement of its strategic review process and cooperation agreement with JANA Partners, Livongo in its sale to Teledoc Health and Regal Beloit in its Reverse Morris Trust transaction to combine with Rexnord's PMC division.
Bryan also advised Ford in its announcement of plans to launch two new divisions and Civica in the launch of its affordable insulin initiative. Ongoing clients include Conagra Brands, Winnebago and Patterson Companies, among others.
Bryan has advised clients on crisis situations and litigation, including Sterigenics related to environmental matters, GNC in response to the investigation by and settlement with the New York State Attorney General and numerous other clients in leadership transitions as well as matters involving the DOJ, SEC and other regulatory agencies.
Bryan began his career at Lehman Brothers in investment banking and corporate development roles and later joined Evercore Partners where he advised companies on M&A transactions. Bryan also worked at Citadel as a senior member of the client relations team. He also served in an operating role at Citadel's fund of hedge funds and hedge fund seeding business.
