Throughout his approximately 40 years' career, Charles worked at four Dutch corporations (Nexperia, NXP semiconductors, Royal Philips and Akzo Nobel). Initially focussing on legal advice as inhouse counsel, Charles assumed broader roles and took responsibility for managing worldwide functions such as legal, M&A, IP, and corporate affairs/communication in senior executive roles. For Philips and NXP Charles did several multi billion dollar M&A's with end responsibility for contracting and regulatory approvals. At Nexperia - a Dutch company (ex-NXP/Philips) and owned by a Shanghai listed company - as a board member, Charles led the transition necessary to operate in a geopolitically changing world towards broadening stakeholder outreach beyond customers and suppliers (i.e. governments, political parties, agencies) with narratives adapted to the target audience.
Charles likes to use his skills, experience and learnings to help clients navigate this changing landscape.
