Chloe Clifford is a Managing Director in the Los Angeles office. She advises public and private companies on a range of high-stakes situations including M&A, activism preparedness and defense, IPOs, executive changes, crises and litigation matters. She also supports clients with ongoing corporate positioning, reputation management and investor relations.
Notable assignments include advising Southwest Airlines on its defense of a special meeting proxy contest with Elliott Management, Smartsheet’s acquisition by Blackstone and Vista Equity Partners, LiveVox's acquisition by NICE, Samsara, Xponential Fitness, Compass, 23andMe and Virgin Galactic on their respective public listings, Quibi on litigation matters and the wind down of its business, and Golden Gate Capital on firm positioning, transaction-related communications and portfolio company support.
Earlier in her career, Chloe was an attorney in the corporate practice at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher, LLP, where she advised companies and private equity firms across a wide range of industries, focusing on public and private merger transactions, stock and asset sales, public and private capital markets transactions, and private equity transactions.
Chloe graduated from Dartmouth College with a B.A. in History and earned her J.D. from Columbia University.
