Chris is a Managing Director and co-leads the Financial Institutions Group in the UK. Chris has advised many listed and private clients in the UK and across Europe, specialising in banking, insurance and private capital. Chris has supported clients through high-stakes crises and issues management, major transformation projects and significant M&A. Chris is passionate about talent and development at the firm, helping to lead the UKMEA Graduate Programme.

Prior to FGS Global, Chris was Head of Communications at Tesco Bank reporting into the CEO and he was a member of the Tesco Group Communications leadership team. Additionally, Chris has a wealth of political experience having advised the Scottish Government on two significant transformation projects, including the creation of the Scottish National Investment Bank, and working in the House of Commons as a defence and foreign policy researcher to a party leader.

Chris is passionate about culture and the arts and he serves as a Board Trustee of the National Galleries of Scotland and the National Galleries of Scotland Foundation. Chris graduated in history from the University of Glasgow, where he served as president of the university union.
