Served as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer and later as an Indo-Pacific desk officer in the U.S. government, drawing on more than 15 years of on-the-ground experience across Thailand, South Korea, and Japan.
Avid reader of history and politics, he enjoys exploring Japan’s rich onsen and ryokan culture in his spare time.
Colin is a geopolitical advisor and subject-matter expert specializing in U.S. foreign policy and international affairs across the Indo-Pacific. At FGS Global, he helps organizations interpret complex political and security developments, translating them into clear, actionable strategies that safeguard reputation, guide decision-making, and strengthen stakeholder engagement. Based in Tokyo, he advises executives, companies, and government agencies on geopolitical risk, crisis communications, and policy strategy in one of the world’s most dynamic regions.
Before entering the private sector, Colin was a career civil servant with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, representing U.S. interests across East, Southeast, and South Asia and working closely with the National Security Council and other interagency partners. His government experience gives him a deep understanding of how Washington thinks, insight he now applies to help clients anticipate and navigate geopolitical risk. Colin holds a master’s degree in East Asian security studies from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
