Columbia Clancy is a Managing Director in the South Florida office. She provides strategic communications counsel on a variety of transactions and special situations, including crisis preparedness, litigation support, domestic and cross-border M&A, investor relations, executive leadership transitions and long-term corporate positioning.

Recent assignments include advising Spirit Airlines on its sale, later terminated, to JetBlue for $3.8 billion; Spirit Airlines on its merger, later terminated, with Frontier Group Holdings, parent company of Frontier Airlines, in a transaction valued at $6.6 billion; Vector Group on its spin-off of Douglas Elliman and broader investor relations program; and multiple private equity firms on M&A and fundraising.

Other high-profile M&A, crisis and litigation experience include advising Herbalife Nutrition on its settlement agreement with the FTC and defense against Pershing Square; Fiat Chrysler Automobiles on its merger with Groupe PSA and previously proposed transaction with Groupe Renault; Tesla on its settlement with the SEC; the Independent Directors of Wells Fargo during their independent investigation of the bank's retail sales practices; Kyndryl on its spin-off from IBM; IRI on its merger with NPD Group and majority investment by Hellman & Friedman; Prevail Therapeutics on its IPO and subsequent sale to Eli Lilly; Revlon on its acquisition of Elizabeth Arden; and HNA Group on its equity investment in Hilton and other global transactions.

Columbia graduated from Amherst College with a B.A. in Neuroscience and a concentration in Spanish.
