Dan Bogler is an expert in strategic communications, media relations and content development for both international and Japanese companies. He has worked with senior executives across multiple markets and brings an extensive track record of advising and training corporate leaders and executives.
Prior to FGS Global, Dan’s 30-year media career culminated in senior editorial roles at the Financial Times in Asia and Europe (Asia News Editor, Head of the Lex Column and Managing Editor of the Financial Times ) and senior commercial roles managing a range of subsidiaries of the Financial Times and Nikkei.
These included six years as President of Medley Global Advisors, a macro-economic consultancy based in New York; and helping to found and build scoutAsia, a new corporate Asian data & news service that was the first significant joint venture between Nikkei and the FT. During his career, he has worked in London, New York, Hong Kong and Frankfurt, before moving to Tokyo in 2016.
Originally from Germany, Dan attended secondary school in the UK and graduated with First Class Honours in Modern History from Oxford University. He lives in western Tokyo with his family.
