Danielle started her career at predecessor firm, SVC, based in Houston. She grew up in Dallas and holds a BA in Political Science and Philosophy from Tulane University.

Life Beyond FGS Global

Texas native and New Orleans fanatic. Outside of work most likely can be found walking her dog, taking film photographs, shopping at a farmers market and/or skiing.

Danielle Berg is a Director who recently relocated from New York and is based in Brussels and Amsterdam. She advises a wide range of clients on complex transactions and special situations, particularly cross border M&A transactions, proxy contests and shareholder activist defense, IPOs, and ongoing media and investor relations programs.

Danielle’s notable assignments include advising: Uber on its agreement to acquire Delivery Hero; Netflix on its now terminated agreement to acquire Warner Bros. studio and streaming operations; AkzoNobel on its merger of equals with Axalta; JDE Peet’s on its sale to Keurig Dr. Pepper; Harley Davidson on its successful defense against H Partners’ withhold-the-vote proxy campaign; DICK’S on its proposed acquisition of Foot Locker; Southwest Airlines on its defense against Elliott Management and investor day; and Norfolk Southern on its proxy contest and defense against Ancora.

Other notable transactions and proxy contests Danielle has worked on over the years include: Arm Holdings’ IPO on the NASDAQ; Zendesk on its terminated acquisition of Momentive, shareholder agitation by JANA Partners, and sale to Hellman & Friedman and Permira; Bed Bath & Beyond on shareholder agitation by RC Ventures (Ryan Cohen); Leslie’s Inc. on its IPO on the NASDAQ; Dollar Tree on shareholder agitation by Mantle Ridge and Starboard Value, as well as its settlement with Mantle Ridge; GeoPark on its successful defense of a withhold-the-vote campaign launched by its former Chairman; L3 Technologies on its merger of equals with Harris Corp; Genesco on its successful proxy defense against Legion Partners; and the Rice Team on its successful proxy contest against EQT Corp.

Danielle started her career at Sard Verbinnen & Co, one of FGS Global's predecessor firms, based in Houston. She grew up in Dallas, TX and holds a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy from Tulane University.
